  • 3 eggs
  • 7-8 Iskele Dried Figs
  • 1 cup coarsely ground walnuts
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 packet of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon of instant coffee
  • ½ cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 5 tablespoons of granulated sugar
  • 1 liter milk
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 2 tablespoons of starch
  • 1.5 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 pack of whipped cream
  • First, soak the dried figs in warm water in a bowl for about 10 minutes. After the figs are soft, take them out of the water and chop them into small pieces.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk granulated sugar and eggs until get foamy and you do not feel any granules from the sugar.
  • Add chopped dried figs, walnuts and cinnamon and mix well.
  • Line the oven tray with parchment paper and put the cake dough in it. After leveling the cake equally, bake it in pre-heated oven for 25 minutes.
  • After 25 minutes, make sure to check the cake with a fork and decide whether it is cooked or not.
  • While the cake is baking in the oven, prepare the pudding. Mix all the ingredients for the pudding in a saucepan, except for the powder whipped cream.
  • Turn on the stove and cook until it thickens. When it starts boiling and bubbling, remove from heat by stirring for 3 more minutes.
  • Immediately add the whipped cream into it and mix well. The pudding is ready.
  • Pour the syrup that you prepared by mixing sugar, coffee and warm water (without cooking) on the cake you took out of the oven. If the cake is warm, it will absorb the syrup better.
  • Pour the hot pudding on the cake you soaked in syrup and spread it well. Let it cool on its own and after it cools, let it rest in the refrigerator for a while, then serve it.
  • While serving, you can garnish with powdered cinnamon and ground walnuts.
